Photos from the weekend and reflections

When last Thursday came, I thought, "Yes, finally". Four whole days to sleep in. With 2 of these days all the stores being closed, it was the perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing.
I was thinking naps, tv, computers, walks. No pressure to have to do anything at all.

Sixteen years ago, I had 3 kids living at home. A newborn, a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old. I remember those hectic days clearly. I don 't miss them at all.

Now I have 2 kids still at home. That newborn is 16 yrs old, and I now have my 8 yr old S. Life is a bit more calmer now then it was then.

The 16 yr old is either out skateboarding, visiting friends, or in his room listening to music. S is generally a quiet kid. She prefers to read, color posters, or play with barbies.

I try now to , not worry about the things that are not in my control, and concentrate on the things that are. I see now, how important it is to give yourself that time out from life.

I hope you all had a great weekend.
